PROFILE

Stan Sutter is an award-winning editor and writer with a deep knowledge of the Canadian marketing, advertising and media industries. He is experienced in the creation and execution of communications and advertising programs and has had extensive working relationships with a wide range of senior executives in all facets of the marketing communications sector. Stan has more than a dozen years experience leading a large staff operating in a complex and fast paced media environment.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS

EDITIONS INFOPRESSE 2008

Vice President, Director English Content

• Developed and implemented business plan and strategies for Montreal French-language B-to-B media company to expand into the English Canadian market with Web-based media, event and print offerings

• Conceived and developed In:fluencia Digital, a Web-based editorial voice and social media forum for the Canadian interactive marketing, advertising, communications and media industries
➢ Led launch of In:fluencia Digital beta site, which went live in under 90 days in April 2008
➢ Wrote and produced video and audio content for the site, including a regular blog on digital marketing issues. Commissioned and edited freelance work and hired contract staff

• Acted as Editions Infopresse’s representative in Toronto market and actively developed relations with industry leaders, customers, associations and media

• Advised and assisted development of program content for Infopresse events in Toronto and Montreal

• Drove the editorial content of the weekly magazine, and its daily e-news reports, with a 75,000+ readership in Canada’s marketing, advertising and media industries and content for the Marketing Online web site as well as program content for Marketing events and awards competitions (four major annual events collectively drawing 3,500+ entries and 2,500+ attendees)

• Key leader in Marketing’s senior management team (effectively second in command) 1996-2007 running an $8 million to $10 million annual revenue business and a staff that has ranged from about 35 to nearly 50 full and part time people
➢ Direct management responsibility for an editorial and events staff of 11-15 people (with an additional 3-6 freelance part time staff), with direct oversight of an annual editorial budget ranging from $800,000 to $1.2 million

• Extensive experience in the creation and execution of communications and advertising programs to support Marketing magazine and it’s portfolio of four major events
➢ Oversaw the development of promotional and public relations programs for Marketing events
